- A note from Barbara
PB Musik in Landstuhl,
I've moved. After almost 20 years in Landstuhl, Germany the
physical shop has closed, but the internet shop is alive and open
What PBMwest has to offer is a
little different than what PB Musik, Germany offered. Some because
the shop lives on the internet now, not in a brick and mortar
building and some changes were made because they seemed like good
ideas. Take the time to click around. We're doing some interesting
stuff, we're doing some unexpected stuff and we're doing some
stuff just for laughs.
- Webcam music lessons
The testing phase is over and the idea worked!. It is possible to give live music lessons over the internet no matter what your computer set up is. What you will need is an instrument to play, a computer with
DSL line, a camera, microphone, speakers and some time.
Beautiful moon rise in Arizona
I've been using
for more than a year now not only to keep up
with friends living in Germany and across the States, but, also to give
Live Online Webcam Lessons. They have been very successful,
even with people who have less than state-of-the-art computer
hardware. If this sounds like something you'd like to try, click
on Webcam Lessons link for more
- The Lounge is an idea I got from my Mother. I
told her we were building our own website. Mom is not into
computers so to explain the idea of what a website is, I used the
example of a shopping mall. Then she asked where the Food Court
would be. Hmmmm, good question. That's where I started to form the
The Lounge. We
don't have real eats on this link but you will find food for the
ears and for your funny bone. We also hope to get a listing of places to visit
in the real word if you get hungry for live music or live food.
- Resources takes you to our diverse services page. It
has everything we could cram in that we thought might be helpful.

with life in the 21st century. There are tips and topics and

- Help and Support Computers have changed our lives
there is no doubt. I know there are a lot of people like me out
there who need and use their computers daily but can still have
trouble with their machine that needs the expert advice from a
true computer support professional. If you need computer
or support from us, just ask. PB Musik geeks are the best!
- And thank you! I know the internet is one enormous
international shopping center that can be overwhelming. I'm glad
you took the time to stop into my little corner of this world
mall. I hope I can help you with your musical questions and
curiosity. I want to hear what you have to say and I also want to
give you a good laugh while you're here. Thanks for your time.
Joke of the Day
...it never hurts to laugh.
We work so hard day to day sometimes we forget to laugh. One of the best teachers I ever had reminded us every day to make
sure we find the fun. Good advice.
This is the place dedicated to finding the
fun. There must be a million and three funny stories, jokes
and cartoons out there that have something to do with music.
We've got a long list already and look foreword to the
input of our readers. If you've got a joke, a cartoon or a
story that makes you laugh and you want to share it, you'll find a
Joke of the Day link on the
The Lounge page.
Good question. We're working on a system that will
let you ship your instrument to me for repair. This is something
that is still in the drawing board stage. As soon as it's up and
running we'll let you know. I thought about giving some tips on repair but too much can go wrong with
good advice. Our Resources page contains a healthy dose of instrument maintenance
tips and suggested accessories to help keep your horn in top
This section on the Resources page will help you know
how to pick your first or next instrument. It's too easy to spend
too much money in music. One rule that works for everything is,
'If it looks to good to be true, it usually is!' We have to keep in mind that a musical instrument is a machine
similar to your car. It has moving parts and fixed parts. The
machine has to work in order for you to be able to play up
to your potential best. And, just like your car there are
expensive models and economy models. If you've got enough
information you'll be able to pick the model that best suits your
needs and budget.
PBMwest is very lucky to
have some of the finest musicians working with us. A diverse and dynamic group
of professionals that include Grammy nominated musicians, educators from
world class music programs, repair technicians with international
